Mr Dougan - Headteacher

I have spent all of my teaching career at Bo’ness Academy.  I started off in Bo’ness as a very young mathematics teacher before becoming a Principal Teacher of Guidance.  After that I became one of the schools Depute Headteachers and had responsibility for the seniors in the school.  I left the school for three years to work for Falkirk Council to make sure all of our school leavers across the Falkirk area progressed onto a positive destination.  This involved working with partners such as Forth Valley College, Stirling University, Education Scotland, Scottish Government, Skills Development Scotland (Careers) to name a few.

In January of this year I had the privilege of being appointed as the schools Headteacher.

In my spare time I try to keep fit by walking my dog and playing tennis, badly!
